Upgrading or installing your windlass is significantly easier thanks to Lewmar's FastFit™ motor gearbox attachment, which enables the windlass to be fitted by just one person. While traditional gearbox alignment to the deck unit is critical and often complex, the FastFit™ clamping system perfectly aligns the deck unit and motor gearbox for a perfect fit the first time.
For tight anchor lockers, FastFit enables the motor and gearbox to be rotated and fixed in convenient 45° increments. To install your windlass, simply fix the deck unit to the deck, slide the gearbox up the shaft, swing the FastFit™ clamp shut, and tighten the bronze nut.
