Zipwake Interceptor 450 S-V13 13° Vee - 17.72" (450mm)

Series S interceptor

The interceptor is where the work happens. A vertical blade mounted on the transom drops into the water flow to generate instant lift, reacting 5 to 10 times faster than a hinged trim tab while taking up far less transom space. This is a Series S unit.

Series S constitutes a product family of four straight and four V-shaped interceptors. This first-ever modular design made for mass production makes the interceptors durable, affordable and perfectly adapted to any planing or semi-planing boat between 6 m and 18 m (20-60ft).

All components have been meticulously engineered to withstand impact and avoid water ingress, minimizing the risk of costly maintenance and downtime. Interceptor or blade actuation takes place by way of a calibration-free submersible electric servo within the interceptor unit. Its natural water cooling provides excellent working conditions for the brushless DC servo motor, which runs on 12-32 volts. The blade stroke takes 1.5 seconds, outperforming conventional trim tabs by at least a factor of 5.

The V13 version is angled for a 13° vee bottom, so the blade sits square to the water flow.

Key features

Fully automatic

Built-in GPS, 3D gyro and 3D accelerometer read the boat’s motion and trim continuously with no input from you.

5–10× faster than trim tabs

Interceptor blades move vertically in a short stroke, so they react far quicker than hinged tabs.

Less transom space

An interceptor occupies a fraction of the transom area a comparable trim tab needs.

Smoother, drier ride

Cuts pitch and roll, reduces wave resistance and saves fuel at cruising speed.

Plug-together install

M12 5-pin connectors throughout — no splicing or custom looms.

IP68 sealed

Interceptors are rated to 16 ft (5 m) submersion with PUR cabling.
