FMS M16 Cool and Reverse Cycle Unit - 16,500 BTU's - 110V 

With a cooling capacity of 1,400 cubic feet, the FMS 16,500 BTU Marine A/C unit is designed to cool / heat up to a 40′ cruiser or a 45′ sailboat. 

The FMS M16 – 16,500 BTU system produces phenomenal climate control to vessels. Manufactured on high grade 304-18 gauge stainless steel, this unit was engineered with your comfort in mind. This unit is available in Right, Left, or Top air discharge configurations. FMS recommends at least three discharges for this unit. One 8″ x 6″ grill should be within 6 feet of the unit and at least two other discharges need to be at least the 4″ round supply vents.

Includes a digital thermostat, an insulation mounting pad, and an air output collar. Pump not included.

With Reverse Cycle Heating 

With reverse cycle heating in a marine A/C unit, a reversing valve reverses the flow of freon. Normally the evaporator / fan blows cold into the cabin while the condenser expels the heat into the water. When reversed, the evaporator / fan blows heat into the cabin and the condenser expels the cold into the water. Unit BTU ratings are based on it’s cool mode. The reverse cycle heat mode produces 10-15% more BTU’s than the unit does in cooling mode.

FMS Standard Digital Programmable/Non Programmable Thermostat

The FMS Standard Programmable/Non-Programmable Thermostat / Control is designed to be used with any FMS unit. Programmable features allow for de-humidification. It is provided standard with each FMS Marine Air conditioning unit.

It is provided standard with each FMS Marine Air conditioning unit. The thermostat is also accompanied with 20 feet of four-wire thermostat cable and installation instructions.

The programmable features allow for weekday and weekend setting for those boater’s who care to use the unit for dehumidification or simply climate control while not on board. The unit may also simply be used as a on/off control device by utilizing the “Hold” temperature setting key.

Non-Programmable Thermostats are also now available.
