Mermaid M12 Cool & Electric Heating Marine A/C Unit - 12,000 BTU's - 110V 

With a cooling capacity of 1000 cubic feet, the Mermaid M12 marine A/C unit is designed to cool / heat up to a 32′ cruiser or a 34′ sailboat. Mermaid units pack the perfect punch of cool, comfortable air to keep your cabin temperate.

Mermaid uses 4" ducting and recommends a minimum of 2, 4" round supply grills with this installation. This unit will run off the new Honda eu1000i 1,000 watt portable generator, while in cool mode. Another option is to use a Statpower 1,000 Watt Inverter and 450 amp hours of battery power and you can anchor out (on average) for one night. This unit is available in right, left or top air discharge configurations.

All M12 models include a digital thermostat, an insulation mounting pad, and an air output collar. Pump not included.

With Electric Heating Function 

When the electric heating feature is activated on your Mermaid A/C unit, a radiant heat strip placed in the evaporator shroud heats up and the fan blows 5,680 BTUs of hot air into the cabin. Neither the compressor nor the water pump is required for this. This means the electric heating feature can be run even while the boat is out of the water.

Take note though, electric heat mode draws more power than reverse cycle heating (10 extra amps).

MERMAID Standard Digital Programmable/Non Programmable Thermostat

The Mermaid Standard Programmable/Non-Programmable Thermostat / Control is designed to be used with any Mermaid unit. Programmable features allow for de-humidification. It is provided standard with each Mermaid Marine Air conditioning unit.

It is provided standard with each Mermaid Marine Air conditioning unit. The thermostat is also accompanied with 20 feet of four-wire thermostat cable and installation instructions.

The programmable features allow for weekday and weekend setting for those boater’s who care to use the unit for dehumidification or simply climate control while not on board. The unit may also simply be used as a on/off control device by utilizing the “Hold” temperature setting key.

Non-Programmable Thermostats are also now available.
