Sleipner E100 eVision Tunnel Bow/Stern Thruster - 24V - 220 lbs of thrust

The E100 eVision is Sleipner's compact, lightweight variable-speed tunnel thruster for boats in the 39 to 55 ft. range. It fits a 185 mm (7.28") tunnel and can be installed either in the bow or in the stern, and because the inverter is built into the unit there is no separate speed-control box to find room for — installation is quicker, cleaner and needs less cable work than a traditional proportional system.
Power comes from a new 6-phase PMSM synchronous motor developed specifically for marine thruster duty. Compared with a conventional DC thruster of the same output it is dramatically lighter, runs far cooler thanks to active air cooling, and will keep thrusting for as long as your battery bank allows instead of timing out after a few seconds of use. At both 21V and 24V it delivers a full 100 kg / 220 lbs of thrust.
Part Number: E100/185T-24V
Recommended Boats
The E100 is sized for vessels of 39 to 56 ft. (12 to 17 m) and is used on motor boats, sailboats and commercial craft alike. If your boat sits near the top of the range, carries a lot of freeboard or a flybridge, or you dock regularly in strong cross-winds, step up to the next model or add a second E100 in the stern.
| Boat type | Recommended length | Notes |
| Motor boats / express cruisers | 39 - 55 ft. | Ideal for flybridge and sedan cruisers with a 24V house bank |
| Sailboats | 39 - 55 ft. | Compact envelope fits narrow bow sections; proportional control and hold-function make single-handed docking realistic |
| Commercial / work vessels | 39 - 56 ft. | Continuous-duty runtime and ISO 8846 ignition protection for hard, repeated use |
| Catamarans & high-windage hulls | Consult us | Beam, windage and tunnel placement matter more than length — call for sizing |
Before You Order — Quick Fit Check
- Your boat has (or can be wired for) a 24V DC supply with a minimum 290 CCA (DIN) / 551 CCA (SAE) battery and an ANL 250 A fuse
- You can fit a 185 mm (7.28") I.D. tunnel with at least 179 mm of length (216 mm recommended) and a wall thickness of 6-8 mm
- The tunnel centerline sits at least 185 mm (7.28") below the waterline, and as far forward and as deep as the hull allows
- You have clearance for a unit measuring 401 mm H x 285 mm L x 258 mm W (15.79" x 11.22" x 10.16") — the thruster can be rotated on the tunnel to suit the space

PRO™ Variable Speed Control
With proportional speed control you apply only as much thrust as the maneuver actually needs, instead of the all-or-nothing bursts of an on/off thruster. The result is finer control at the dock and far less noise on board and outside the hull. Speed-controlled thrusters are also the right choice if you plan to run a joystick docking system.
- Infinitely variable thrust from a gentle nudge to full power
- Inverter built into the thruster — no external speed controller to mount
- Compatible with joystick control and dual bow/stern systems
Hold Function
In a bow and stern system, one press of a button lets the thrusters hold the boat against the dock while you step ashore with the lines. Docking genuinely becomes a one-person job, even in a cross-wind or current.

Twin Q-Prop™ Propellers
A twin-propeller layout produces more thrust than a single prop in the same tunnel diameter, which is how the E100 gets 220 lbs out of a 185 mm tunnel. The five-blade skew Q-Prop design cuts thruster noise substantially — up to 75% in controlled testing and typically 20-40% in a real installation — without giving up efficiency.
- High thrust from a small tunnel diameter
- Five-blade skew props engineered for low noise and high efficiency
S-Link™ Control Network
S-Link is Sleipner's CAN-based network for communication between products on board. Plug-and-play signal cables mean no wiring diagrams to decipher and no soldering: the connectors are keyed, color-coded and waterproof, and the system scales with extenders and T-connectors as you add panels, a stern thruster or a joystick.
- Compact, waterproof, keyed and color-coded plugs
- Cable lengths, extenders and T-connectors for flexible, scalable installs
- Alarms and diagnostics reported directly on the connected control device
Ignition Protection – ISO 8846
The E100 is ignition protected to ISO 8846, so it can be installed and operated safely in compartments where gasoline vapors or other flammable gases may be present.
Overheat Protection
Where a standard on/off thruster simply shuts down when it gets hot, the speed-controlled E100 derates power to keep temperatures in the safe zone. You keep steering instead of losing the thruster halfway through a maneuver.
Safe Start-Up / Child Safety
Compatible control panels use dual "on" buttons so the thruster cannot be started by an accidental bump — or by curious hands at the helm.
Splash-Proof – IPx7
Built for the reality of a bow locker: damp air, condensation and the occasional splash are no problem for the sealed IPx7 construction.
Galvanic Separation
Every immersed part is galvanically isolated from the vessel's electrical system, so a current leak or accidental short cannot feed stray current into the underwater components.
Flexible Coupling
The flexible coupling between the motor and gearleg shafts absorbs minor misalignment, protecting the driveline and contributing to the galvanic separation of the underwater unit.
Sealed & Lifetime-Lubricated Gearleg
The gearleg is pre-filled with special gear oil for lifetime lubrication and closed with a long-life mechanical seal whose only moving sealing surfaces are highly polished ceramic and carbon — the best available defense against water intrusion. No oil changes, no annual seal service.
Flexible Installation
The thruster can be mounted on the tunnel at any angle to suit the space you have, and the same unit serves as a bow or a stern thruster. That flexibility, plus the compact envelope and the absence of a separate control box, makes the E100 an easy retrofit in tight compartments.
