The B&G V60 VHF Radio is a powerful, mid-level marine communication solution designed for sailors who demand enhanced safety, superior integration, and flexible onboard control. Replacing the V50, the V60 is fully updated to comply with EN 301 025 (v2.2.1) and delivers advanced features including a built-in AIS receiver, Class D DSC, and multi-source GPS support.

With seamless integration into B&G navigation systems and support for optional wireless handsets, the V60 is ideal for cruising yachts, offshore sailors, and performance-focused vessels.

Built-In AIS for Collision Awareness

The V60 features a dual-channel AIS receiver that continuously monitors nearby AIS-equipped vessels. AIS targets can be:

• Viewed directly on the V60’s built-in display

• Overlaid on compatible chartplotters or radar screens via NMEA 2000® or NMEA 0183

This dramatically improves situational awareness in crowded harbors, narrow channels, and reduced-visibility conditions.

Four-Way GPS Redundancy

The V60 offers four independent ways to obtain a GPS fix, ensuring reliable position data during emergencies:

1. Integrated GPS antenna (ideal for open installations)

2. Rear SMA connector for optional GPS-500 external antenna

3. NMEA 0183 GPS input from a chartplotter

4. NMEA 2000® network GPS sharing

This redundancy ensures your position is always available for DSC distress calls and navigation features.

Class D DSC Safety & Navigation Tools

The Class D DSC system allows digital distress calls, position sharing, and direct radio calling. The V60 also includes advanced navigation and safety tools:

• Navigation Mode displays Speed and Course Over Ground

• Man Overboard (MOB) function drops a waypoint instantly and provides steering guidance back to the MOB location

• MOB data is shared across the NMEA 2000® network

Track Buddy™ – Position Tracking Without AIS

Track Buddy™ allows you to track vessels without AIS by polling their VHF radios directly:

• Track up to 5 contacts

• Automatic position polling at 1, 5, 15, 30, or 60-minute intervals

• Displays positions on compatible chartplotters
