The Icom IC-M430 is a compact, stylish fixed mount VHF marine transceiver built for modern helms. A slimmer body and flush-mount design let it sit flat in the dash like an MFD, while a color TFT LCD and NMEA 2000 connectivity bring it in line with the rest of your electronics. It replaces the long-running M424G.

Color TFT display with three viewing modes

A first in its class: a color TFT LCD with a wide viewing angle and a bright screen that stays readable in direct sunlight and at night. Choose Light, Dark or Night mode, and switch between day and night with one touch. Backlit operation keys keep the radio easy to work in the dark.

25 W output with built-in Class D DSC

Twenty-five watts of transmit power and built-in Class D DSC with a dedicated distress button and direct calling. A built-in GNSS receiver with an internal antenna supplies position data for DSC calls without a separate GPS feed; where satellite reception is limited, such as an enclosed cabin, the optional UX-241 external GNSS antenna is available.

Slim body, simplified flush mounting

At 202 x 82 x 52.6 mm (8.0 x 3.2 x 2.1 in) the IC-M430 fits where older radios will not. The shallow depth leaves room behind the radio for clean cable management. MFD-style mounting screws the radio directly into place and snap-on body covers hide the hardware, which makes it a natural fit for side pod installations on center console hard tops. An optional flush mount kit is available for conventional installations.

Integrates with your network

Plug-and-play installation over NMEA 2000, plus NMEA 0183-HS support for sharing data with the rest of your electronics. Compatible with the Icom MA-510TR AIS transponder, so you can send an individual DSC call straight to a selected AIS target.

Flexible microphone and second-station options

The included hand microphone mounts to the front panel or can be rear-mounted with the optional OPC-1000 extension cable. For dual-station boats, the optional CommandMic gives full remote control from a second helm up to 60 ft (18.3 m) away with intercom between stations - a practical setup on sailboats. An optional 90-degree L-type adapter helps prevent connector damage in tight installs.
