All you have to do is unwrap it, affix it to your preferred setup or one of our add-on accessories, download the app and you're ready! Its simplicity has led to many users finding their own ways of utilizing it, and our "open protocol" policy has definitely played a role. Many app developers and OEMs have created portable-compatible Ultrasonic hardware: weather apps, ballistics, marine, etc...it's a single component but multiple displays. ZERO Cable Tolerance: Wireless and Self Powered.

No power cords, its solar cell powers the Ultrasonic Portable autonomously. It can operate for up to 30 days in the dark and over a year in the sleep mode. 

No wires dedicated to data, but it can be connected to your network. Its Bluetooth connection avoids the need to connect it to a display. However, if you want to connect the portable Ultrasonic to a display or network, you can use one of our gateways: 

The NMEA Connect Plus takes the portable Bluetooth signal and converts it to a wired or NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 signal. It also transmits the signal from Bluetooth and casts NMEA0183 data via WiFi.

NMEA 2000 output

The Ultra-Low-Power Ultrasonic wind meter can output an NMEA 2000 signal when using an NMEA Connect Plus.

• NCP HighEnd: Receives wind data from any ULTRASONIC wind meter within Calypso´s range of products. Converts NMEA 0183 wind sentences and/or Bluetooth signal into NMEA 0183 network and Bluetooth. It can also be used as range-extender using it as a Bluetooth-repeater.

• NCP W2000: Connects your Ultra-Low Power ULTRASONIC wind data to NMEA 2000 network. Allows the connection of 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time.
