MARCH PUMPS TE-5M-MD Mag-Drive Centrifugal Pump 115/230V
March Pump's TE-5M-MD is an American seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump built for marine service. It is capable of generating a maximum flow of 18 GPM (68.1 LPM) and a maximum head of 29 feet (around 12 PSI). The standard wet end (the materials that come into contact with the solution) is composed of a Noryl front housing with a Polypropylene rear housing and impeller, a Carbon bushing, a Buna N o-ring, and Ceramic thrust washers, shaft and magnet. The motor is a 1 Phase 115/230V 60Hz (110/220V 50Hz) TEFC totally enclosed fan cooled 0.2 horsepower motor rated IP 44, and this version is supplied with a conduit box for hard wiring (no cord or plug). The carbon bushing permits extended dry-run capability, and the motor is Ignition Protected per SAE J1171 and ISO 8846, making the TE-5M-MD suitable for engine-room and other marine installations. The maximum internal pressure the pump can tolerate is 50 PSI, and the maximum liquid temperature is 190 Fahrenheit or 87 Celsius.
OPERATION
Pumps are not self-priming, lack a suction lift, and thus require a flooded suction. Pumps cannot be run dry because the impeller requires the liquid being pumped for lubrication. For liquids with a specific gravity greater than water, have a higher viscosity, or for elevated temperatures, a trimmed impeller may be necessary. For application assistance, contact March Pump.
