This vacuum breaker was in a loop supplying cooling seawater to the heat exchanger on a Volvo TMD30 marine diesel. The original had cracked probably due to over tightening and sea water was spraying over the engine. I removed the stainless steel loop and replaced the faulty vacuum breaker with this new unit. Problem solved. An easy fix and I bought two of them so we can carry a spare.
