The Strainer Maintainer is the first tool designed specifically for cleaning your marine sea strainer, and it cleans every part of the strainer without taking it apart.
The outflow of the strainer is one of the most overlooked areas, and restricted flow there causes growth to build faster and systems to shut down. The Strainer Maintainer reaches it easily. The curved edge follows the outside round surface of the strainer basket, while the smaller scraper end cleans the hard-to-reach spots inside the basket. The large scraper is sized for strainers 1 inch and larger, and the long scraper removes barnacles quickly, with a back scraper for more aggressive work. Use the small scraper for 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch strainers; its grooves clean the bowl and the back scraper reaches all the way to the bottom.
