Trolling Motors

These motors mount to the front of the boat with a bolt-on bracket, pulling it through the water and allowing for excellent maneuverability and control.

The perfect choice for general positions and standard trolling on smaller boats, dinghies and canoes, these motors mount to the back of the boat with a clamp-on bracket, using a hand / tiller control.

To determine how powerful your motor needs to be, the rule of thumb is at least 2 pounds of thrust for every 100 pounds of fully loaded boat weight (with people and gear included). If wind or current play a big role in where you fish, you may want some extra thrust for added control.

1 battery for every 12 volts in your trolling systems is recommended. 55 pounds of thrust or less = 12 volts, 1 battery. 68-80 pounds of thrust = 24 volts, 2 batteries. 101-115 pounds of thrust = 36 volts, 3 batteries.

If the shaft is too short, the prop won’t sufficiently submerge. It is recommended to submerge the center of the motor section at least 12 inches. For more help on selecting the proper shaft length for your trolling motor, please contact us.
