An impermeable lamination coats the entire module, allowing the Go Power 500W flexible solar panel to flex against curved areas, eliminating any need for a bulky frame. The flat, lightweight module is less than 1/8 inch thick and provides an extremely durable surface. The panel can be affixed by adhesive or screw mounting options and quick-connect MC4 cables are an added bonus for ease-of-installation.

How Does This Go Power Solar Charging Kit Work?



The Flex-500 solar panel absorbs the sun's energy and converts it into DC electricity, and this electricity charges the battery. The battery stores the electricity, similar to a water tank storing water. This battery power may be used at any time to operate DC-powered devices connected to the battery. To increase the battery service life, a solar controller is used to prevent the solar panels from overcharging the batteries.

Everything needed to provide solar power onboard is included in this kit:

• 5x GP-FLEX-100 Watt Solar Panels (totaling approx. 500 Watts / 28.4 amps)

• 40-Amp MPPT Solar Controller (GP-MPPT-40)

• MPPT Digital Remote Display

• 1 x GP-CEP-25 – 25’ Cable Entry Plate with 25’ of cable

• Mounting hardware (4 x GP-MH-4-KB)

The Go Power! 40-Amp MPPT solar controller maintains the life of the battery by protecting it from overcharging. When your battery has reached a 100% state of charge, the Controller prevents overcharging by limiting the current flowing into the batteries from your solar array.
