FMD8062 Remote Radar Display

Furuno's exciting FMD8062 is a compact and waterproof remote display designed to interface with Furuno radars. With its high-resolution 12.1" LCD screen, the FMD8062 provides a clear, sunlight-viewable radar image. It's ideal for workboats, powerboats and sailboats where a second waterproof radar display is needed.

Offering the same functions that are available on Furuno's FR8xx2 radars, the FMD8062 boast a long list of standard radar features, including the ability to display images in Head-up, Course-up, North-up or True Motion when connected to the proper heading & speed sensors. The FR8062’s 32-level color display is able to show true color radar targets, which allows the user to determine the strength of the echoes by the different colors.

When connected as a full function remote, the FMD8062 will perform optimally when the range scale is set to a similar range setting as the master radar. The use of a portrait style LCD helps operators observe the area ahead of the vessel. Its full-screen echo presentation capability gives a wider overview of the surrounding area.

As advanced as they are, Furuno’s FMD8062 is extremely simple to operate, thanks to the neatly arranged front panel controls, two user-programmable function keys, a trackball and an easy-to-understand menu. Each radar offers a selection of useful features, including two VRMs and two floating-origin EBLs, EBL/VRM offset, off-centering to cursor position, zoom, echo trails, echo stretch, trackball cursor mark with range/bearing readout and a duplex guard zone alarm.
