Underwater lights have been demonstrated to attract fish for both commercial and recreational fishing purposes. When placed underwater, the lights reflect off particles in the water, enhancing a natural food source for bait. Green underwater lights have been found to be particularly effective in attracting fish.

For boats up to 21 feet in length, Shadow Caster recommends installing two underwater lights on opposite sides of the transom. As the boatu2019s size and beam increase, it is suggested to add more lights for continuous coverage. Typically, one light is added for every additional 3 feet of transom width over 9 feet.

For optimal performance, Shadow Caster underwater lights should be installed below the waterline when the boat is stationary. The lower the lights are positioned on the transom, the better they will function while the boat is in motion.
